There’s nothing more satisfying than a delighted client and we are proud and humbled that the owners of this bespoke kitchen redesign have taken the time to drop us a line.
We have been absolutely delighted with Handcrafted Kitchens and would not hesitate to recommend them.
From our initial consultation Mary listened to our ideas, made some recommendations and provided a plan and quote very promptly. The plans were exactly what we had in mind and we found the quote to be very competitive. A detailed timeline of works was provided by Warren, who we found to be very helpful offering ideas and suggestions to make our space the best it could be.
Handcrafted kitchens took control of the whole project and were very good at keeping to the timeline provided.
We really cannot thank Warren, Mary, Dave, Joe and Aaron and everyone else at Handcrafted Kitchen enough for helping us create the kitchen, utility and bar area we dreamed of.
Take a look at the before and after photos of this handmade kitchen redesign, together with an updated utility room and a new home bar, to see the amazing transformation of this beautiful home in Marple for yourself.
Our client’s desire for a handmade bespoke kitchen was not only to create a more beautiful living space; they knew that commissioning furniture that was specifically designed for their home would enable them to choose the exact size and design of every piece of furniture.
This family of 4, with a gorgeous dog called Henry, had their generously proportioned home transformed with clever planning and attention to detail. Now, it flows together more cohesively for more relaxed living. Choosing bespoke furniture allows you to maximise the use of every part of each room to its full potential and because it’s made to measure, it fits perfectly. By careful kitchen planning and design we have increased storage space whilst, at the same time, giving an impression of more living space. Importantly, this has been achieved with the minimum amount of additional building work, reducing the overall cost and disturbance.
Our clients chose a classic in frame shaker style in French Grey for their kitchen redesign. We also redesigned the cooking area to make the range and shaker mantel a focal point with a Rangemaster Range cooker. Elegant shaker counter top glass cabinets now provide valuable storage as well as unique interest for displaying treasured glass wear and crockery.
A bespoke central kitchen island with luxurious cosmic grey granite work surface replaces the old kitchen table, happily seating four people. In the daytime the kitchen island has a practical purpose for food preparation and casual eating. During the evening hours a subtle mood change can be made using the improved lighting system. Ceiling LED’s have been installed for greater light coverage throughout the kitchen together with stunning feature lighting over the kitchen island; three beautifully hand blown glass pendant lights made by Master craftsman John Ditchfield of Glasform on the Fylde coast.
A new doorway now connects the kitchen to the dining room; the kitchen island provides a social hub in the evening for friends and family to gather and with the new home bar there’s no need to go out!
Having seen what they were looking for on a weekend away in the Lake District they asked us to make their own home bar to fit into the alcove of the dining room to their exact specification. Complete with wine chiller, glass shelving, mirrored back, and drawers for corkscrews, cocktail accessories, muddlers and mallets there is enough storage space in this home bar to satisfy the finest mixologist or sommelier !
The freestanding fridge freezer has been consigned to the updated utility room and a new integrated fridge freezer has been concealed in a bespoke cabinet next to the large larder cabinet. This new larder, with perfectly fitting bifold doors, now occupies a central position facing the kitchen island and opposite the mantel and range cooker. If you look closely you can see Henry’s bed below. A large storage cupboard completes the design and tucks neatly next to the door to the hall.
In the utility room Henry now has his very own bathing area in the large Belfast sink with spray tap. The in frame shaker cabinetry matches the main kitchen with free standing fridge freezer and washing machine.
